Finally caught on camera, one of the many cute things that we get to see at home. Here Joslyn likes to put things on her head. It started with the Northwestern Cap that I showed on Cody in a previous post. Both kids were given one of those caps as presents, and they enjoy putting them on and off. However the caps are not always available, so Joslyn will make anything that sort of fits become a cap. Here it was a toy bucket that they have.
Orange City, IA

Times Remembered – Joslyn’s special skill
Posted in Uncategorized on September 1, 2009 by unclestevoOk it is probably obvious that I have been going through old photos recently. Here is another one that I don’t think I have posted before. Joslyn hasn’t done this in quite some time, but in her first few months she would do this a fair amount. Somehow she would lift her legs and but off the ground as shown in the picture for much longer than any normal person should be able to.
Summer Time
Posted in Uncategorized on September 1, 2009 by unclestevoAs I mentioned in an earlier blog, my kids love to be out side. So here are a few picts from late may with the kids playing outside.
My thinker.
My Climber.

Bath Time
Posted in Uncategorized on August 31, 2009 by unclestevoThis picture is from a few months ago (probably early spring), but it needed to be shared. We were having a little fun while taking baths in the kitchen sink. I personally think it was adorable.
Longing for Outdoors
Posted in Uncategorized on August 28, 2009 by unclestevoHere is a older shot that had to be posted. First because it is so cute. Second because it shows my kids trying to peer outside long before they could see out the window. The love the outdoors and all the wonderful thing that one can see and do in the fresh air. Today my kids will bring you any shoe they can find in hopes that it will lead to a trip outdoors. And if you ask them if they would like to go outside, they will stop what ever it is that they are doing and go searching for their shoes. If they cannot find their shoes, they will look at you like come on dad, hurry up, I know you know where my shoes are. Lets get going. It is really hard to say no at that point. And really I can’t blame them I love the outdoors as well.
Cody – Looking Cool
Posted in Uncategorized on August 26, 2009 by unclestevoI don’t know, maybe it is because he’s my son and I like fall football, but when I came across this photo I thought of football season. He has his NW cap on with fleece jacket, perfect to go watch a game.
Kids playing
Posted in Family on August 26, 2009 by unclestevoI was going through some older photos of the kids and came across this photo of the kids playing on the couch. I am not sure exactly what lead up to this point but thought it was worth sharing.
Big Helper
Posted in Uncategorized on August 25, 2009 by unclestevoA few weeks ago I was doing some work around the house which included washing the car. The kids were outside playing in the yard when Joslyn decided to help out. I got a picture and thought I should share.
Branson – Vis vacation
Posted in Uncategorized on August 25, 2009 by unclestevoWell it has been a busy summer and I have not made it a priority to keep this blog up to date. Hopefully that will change a little at least until harvest starts. These first few pictures are of our first vacation down to Table Rock Lake, just outside of Branson MO.
A great time was had by all. Below is all of Cody and Joslyn’s cousins sitting with Grandma and Grandpa Vis.
Here are a couple pictures of the kids first tube rides with mom behind the boat. Cody was really ready for a nap, but decided to enjoy the rocking of the water before turning it in for the afternoon.
Joslyn was a little more excited for the water, but stayed cautious through the ride, before showing her excitement.
Here the kids are letting everybody know that they had a great time on their first Branson trip of ’09.
