New Family Picture

Posted in Uncategorized on May 23, 2009 by unclestevo

We had to get our picture taken at church yesterday for the new photo book that is coming out for our church’s 125th anniversary.  Since we were all dressed up, we had a friend snap a new family photo for ourselves.

First Official Hair Cut

Posted in Uncategorized on May 23, 2009 by unclestevo

Well the time has come to get an official hair cut.  And somewhere in the process, I lost my little baby.  My 1 year old left the house and came back as a 2 year old.  I don’t know how that happens, and I have always been told that time flies, but this is faster than I expected.  First I will post a picture from Tulip Time, and then a couple of the hair cut.

Please if you see my 1 year old, I would be very excited to get him back.  I miss him terribly.

Tulip Time in Orange City

Posted in Uncategorized on May 23, 2009 by unclestevo

Last weekend was the official Tulip Festival here is Orange City. Like any good local mom, Julie bundled the kids up and took them down town for the festivities.  The kids really liked the drum sections of the bands.   They tried a the rides but weren’t so into those yet.  Maybe in a couple years.

On Saturday Julie joined up with some friends who also wanted to take in the one weekend a year were we do actually have traffic jams in our small town.

The kids did enjoy the pretty tulip beds that were in perfect bloom this year for the festival.

And I must report Cody has made it on the Orange City’s Most wanted list.  He decided that he wanted to give his mom a tulip to take home.  As the thoughtfulness was great, there is a well known ordinance here in Orange City about picking tulips.  It is a BIG NO NO.  Up to a $100 fine is caught picking one in the down town area.  Well fortunately the letter of the law was given a little grace and no one had break the piggy bank.

He was very excited when we told him he wouldn’t be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
