A New Milestone

The twins have crossed a new milestone. 5 Months Old!!! Exciting and sad all at the same time.  They are growing up way too fast.  We attempted to take some pictures to remember the day and had mixed results.  All of which were really cute, but not quite what we were shooting for. At the start Cody thought he could take a nice nap in the afternoon sun.  Joslyn however was more than happy to smile for the camera.

We were later able to get them to enjoy each others company, but not face the camera.

And we even tried to have them sit up with the help of mom.  Although we did get close with this pose….we did not succeed in facing the camera together.

New Style of Eating

Well, we have started to try something new.  RICE!  Yes, you read it correctly. These two little kids are starting to eat some rice.  We have had mixed results, but they are starting to catch on.  Cody likes the taste (at least it seems that way).  While Joslyn isn’t so sure she likes it. We still struggle keeping it in the mouth.  So, we need a little work on the technique. 

New level of Play “THE JUMPER”

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids at play.  We received an exo-saucer/jumper when the kids were born and they are just beginning to be able to enjoy it.  Joslyn probably gets a little more use out of it than Cody right now.  Below is a picture of Joslyn after an exhausting time of playing.

And here we caught Cody trying to figure out how to remove the Frog.  I haven’t taught him about tools yet, so for now the Frog stays on the jumper.

Kids at Play

Well I grabbed a few recent photos this week.  First I will show you Cody in his borrowed bear suit.  Due to some cooler weather (50’s and 60’s) we have found ourselves scrambling to get appropriate clothes for the kids to go outside in.  We like to take family walks when we can squeeze them in.  So here is Cody in a bear suit, playing peek-a-boo.

And on the same night we got a couple pictures of Joslyn playing on the play mat.  Both Cody and Joslyn are a ton of fun right now as they have started to interact quite a bit.  Both of them are finding their voices.  Cody will grunt and gurgle his sounds and Joslyn will make more speech type coos and try to work her tongue into the noise.

Quick Update

I have been receiving some slack as to the frequency of my updates, so here is a quick new picture of the twins.  I was hoping to post a few, but as it turns out I haven’t taken very many pictures recently.

This picture was taken a couple weeks ago shortly after our last doctors appointment.

Cody was 12lbs. 2oz. and 24 1/2″ tall

Joslyn was 10lbs. 7oz. and 24″ tall
